Correlated variability in the W49 water vapour maser source.
Abstract
Interferometric and total power (single dish) observations of the W49 water maser source show that correlated variability was exhibited by several spectral components which appear to be spatially associated with the same centre of activity. These observations strongly support the model of a hot variable star, surrounded by dust and gas, which provides pump energy for a number of maser volumes lying nearby
