Comparison of two methods of accounting for the non-gravitational forces in the motion of comets.
Abstract
The methods of Dubiago (1948) and Marsden (1968) for taking into account nongravitational forces in cometary motion are compared by applying them to six short-period comets. It is found that the two methods yield qualitatively and quantitatively similar results. The practical effectiveness of both methods is discussed.
