Instrumental Polarization in the Solar Horizontal Telescope at Ondřejov Observatory
Abstract
The paper deals with computations of the instrumental matrix of the solar horizontal telescope by means of Mueller's calculus for different settings of the coelostat. Results and possible consequences of the effect of instrumental polarization on magnetic measurements are discussed. It is shown that the cross-over effect could be explained by instrumental polarization.
