Propagation measurements in circular polarization along a satellite-earth trajectory with the aid of the Sirio-1 satellite - Preliminary results
Abstract
Propagation measurements in circular polarization have been conducted by a ground station equipped with an antenna capable of operating at the same frequency in two inverse circular polarizations. The propagation measurements were made on signals transmitted by the experimental communications satellite Sirio-1. The attenuation distribution at 11.6 GHz (angle of elevation 32 deg), a histogram of attenuation distributions, the decoupling distribution at 11.6 GHz, and the correlation between decoupling and attenuation are discussed.
