A moire fringe data handling system for application in an industrial laboratory
Abstract
A system currently used for obtaining and processing moire type fringe data in an industrial environment is described. Grid materials, application techniques, recording camera, fringe multiplication, and the data processing phase are discussed. Descriptions of the hardware and procedures comprising the system are supported by photographs, sketches, and block diagrams. Application of the system as a cost-effective means for obtaining useful engineering information is illustrated by reference to a typical design problem.
