Prediction of separation using boundary layer theory
Abstract
The solution of equations for the shear layer with a pressure distribution at the shear layer edge derived from the inviscid solution is addressed. Presence of a singularity at separation, calculation methods for reversed flow, and cases where the thin shear layer approximation is not accurate enough are among the topics considered.
