X-ray flaring region observed by means of SOLRAD 11 B experiments.
Abstract
The multitemperature structure of flaring regions can be studied by comparing the output of several broadband photometers sensitive to different spectral regions. In the present paper, an attempt is made to develop a method for evaluating the temperature distribution in a flaring region, with a view toward the application of the method to measurements performed with the onboard photometers of the Solrad 11 satellite. The analysis is essentially an extension of a study carried out in 1975, in which data of the Solrad 10 satellite were used.
