Simulation of atmospheric attenuation and turbulence in a pulsed laser Doppler velocimeter system
Abstract
This paper presents an improved theoretical model for the simulation of a LIDAR system used in the detection of clear air turbulence (CAT). Some results of variations in system parameters on signal-to-noise ratio are shown. Atmospheric attenuation and turbulence effects are included in the simulation model.
