The enthalpy flux loss through a Stirling cycle regenerator with the flow resistance satisfying Darcy's law
Abstract
A formula for loss is reported assuming that the gas is perfect and that the flow resistance satisfies Darcy's Law for flow through porous media. The formula is derived from simple considerations of mass and energy conservation and relates the enthalpy flux loss to the pressure variations at the ends of the regenerator.
