A comparison of hydrophobic and hydrophilic filters using a continuous flow filter chamber
Abstract
The paper presents some new evidence concerning the use of hydrophobic and hydrophilic membrane filters to measure relative concentrations of ice-forming nuclei (IFN). A continuous flow chamber was used to process the 294 filters used in this comparison. The data received did not show any strong evidence for preferring hydrophobic or hydrophilic filters.
