High performance millimeter wave receiver and transmitter component development
Abstract
The paper describes the successful application of advanced design techniques to millimeter-wave frequencies, which have resulted in exceptional hardware performance. These state-of-the-art millimeter-wave components have been generally designed for satellite applications and feature wideband operation in order to provide maximum flexibility for a variety of applications, such as spread spectrum communications, frequency hopping radar, high data rate analog and digital systems and broadband radiometers. Attention is given here to solid state power amplifiers, upconverters, downconverters, circulators, hybrids, and filters.
