The jet membrane and some related topics
Abstract
The jet membrane process is reviewed. Jet background interaction phenomena are analyzed, formulating an isotope separation theory. Experimental data supporting theoretical conclusions are presented. A simple theory is then used to establish an accurate model of jet background interaction. The degree of separation is adjustable and does not appear to have an upper bound. The apparatus is simple and lends itself easily to cascading. Economic analysis for a 3,000,000 g SWU/yr shows a capital requirement of 32 percent to 42 percent of that required by other processes while the total power cost is only 24 percent of that for the gaseous diffusion method.
