Problems in the design of multibeam antennas
Abstract
The design of a multi-beam antenna for a domestic satellite point-to-point communication system is outlined. As an example, the case of an Italian satellite is considered in detail. The problem of the phase center is also considered, suggesting a new most general definition. For feeds applications, this definition is connected with the optimization of the reflector radiation diagram.
