Localized probe diagnostics of the plasma in an argon laser
Abstract
Osipov's (1974) pulse-sounding method of obtaining probe characteristics is applied to local measurements of electron-energy distribution function in an argon laser plasma. The plasma parameters obtained under the assumption of an equilibrium electron-energy distribution function are discussed. The shape of the electron-energy distribution function at various distances from the discharge axis is examined.
