Heat conduction combined with thermal radiation and convection
Abstract
The numerical study of the unsteady heat conduction of a pipe with a circular cross section is presented. The temperature profiles of the inside surface periodically vary with time and the outside surface is subjected to the heat transfer combined with thermal radiation and convection. Numerical solutions are obtained with the aid of the Jacobi elliptic functions. It is shown that the nonlinear boundary condition of the second kind can be reduced to the linear boundary condition of the first kind.
