Propagation of slow electromagnetic waves in an open waveguide of special shape
Abstract
Consideration is given to the dispersion characteristics of an open waveguide consisting of an infinite periodic grating composed of ideally conducting rectangular bars as well as of a metal surface situated some distance beneath the grating. The dispersion equation for the waveguide is derived and some numerical results are presented.
