Studies of CYG X-1 temporal characteristics as a result of X-ray observations on board Salyut-4 station
Abstract
The source Cyg X-1 was observed in the energy range .2 to 10 keV on June 3 and July 22, 1975. On June 3 variations in the temporal characteristics of the source emission was recorded simultaneously with a more intense flux from the source. Signal fluctuations exceeded statistical in the range 2 to 10 keV. Similar fluctuations of signals were also observed on July 22 when intense emission bursts were recorded. The results of the temporal analysis of pulses from the source are presented. The data are interpreted with the help of a source model in which the major part of the flux is attributed to the superposition of pulses due to the shot noise effect.
