Fixed-satellite and broadcasting-satellite service considerations for 1979 GWARC planning
Abstract
Technical and economic aspects related to the fixed-satellite and broadcasting-satellite services are discussed. Planning studies in support of the 1979 General World Administrative Radio Conference (GWARC) are presented for the frequency range of 2500 MHz to 14.5 GHz. Spectrum sharing concepts, economic (including market) factors, hybrid satellites, and orbit-spectrum utilization factors are reviewed.
