Hybrid analog computer techniques: Their use in designing and assessing the performance of nonlinear transmitters under multicarrier operation
Abstract
Hybrid analog computer techniques for designing and assessing the improved multicarrier performance of linearized transmitters using control loops are presented. A computer set-up for simulation of nonlinear, dynamic control loops, and multicarrier signal generation is given in detail. A design for the Marecs L-band power amplifier and its assessment are shown as an example of the accuracy of simulation achievable. Problem areas are discussed.
