ESA satellite checkout. Introduction
Abstract
An established test concept incorporated the procedures and experience accumulated by ESA and its industrial partners over more than 14 years of operations. Proven performance provided reliable means for effective quality control. Comprehensive service provided equipment software, documentation, and operational support. Standard high level test language enabled users to generate test sequences, without computer programming experience. Known cost allowed integration and test activities to be reliably budgetted. Soft obsolescence and evolution rather than total equipment write-off was made possible through standardization and modular construction.
