Advances in laser technology /Emphasizing gaseous lasers/; Proceedings of the Seminar, Washington, D.C., March 28, 29, 1978
Abstract
Theoretical and experimental studies directed toward optimizing gas laser performance are described. Considerable emphasis is on the problem of realizing large high-energy laser systems. Attention is devoted to pulsed infrared lasers, visible lasers, CW infrared lasers, and laser optics and diagnostics. Individual items include flashlamp technology for pulsed lasers, design of large high-pressure gas laser amplifiers, mercury halide lasers, electron beams for pulsed lasers, mode medium interaction in CW flowing gas lasers, performance potential of advanced gasdynamic laser concepts, automated gain measurement system for high-energy chemical lasers, and a minicomputer-controlled diagnostic and display system for high-energy lasers.
