Characteristics of application of modules with frequency multiplication in active transmitting antenna arrays
Abstract
The paper considers microwave active antenna arrays with frequency multiplication. The array is one consisting of a number of modules each of which contains a transistor amplifier and a frequency multiplier. It is found that the use of frequency-multiplier modules allows the simplification of the distributor system and of the circulator, leading to a reduction in the size and weight of the array. Consideration is given to the use of such modules in centimeter-wave arrays.
