Oscillator with discrete frequency tuning and stabilized by surface-acoustic-wave resonator
Abstract
An oscillator is proposed with discrete frequency tuning whose oscillating system is produced by two surface-acoustic-wave resonators. The first resonator generates a discrete frequency net and the second, selecting resonator provides frequency selection and oscillator frequency tuning. When the capacity controlling the selecting resonator frequency is smoothly varied, the oscillator frequency is tuned in jumps within wide limits. Results of an experimental investigation of the oscillator are presented.
