The effect of linear acceleration on the stability of a dynamically adjusted precessional gyroscope
Abstract
The stability of a dynamically adjusted precessional gyroscope in the presence of radial linear acceleration of the base is analyzed on the basis of vector-matrix transformations and the averaging method. The gyroscope equations, after transformation, are represented in the form of a small-parameter power series. It is shown that radial linear acceleration of the base leads to an additional drift of the gyrostabilizer.
