Thomson scattering from current-carrying plasma with Spitzer-Harm electron distribution function
Abstract
The spectrum of the radiation scattered from a current-carrying plasma is derived for a drift velocity small with respect to the thermal velocity. This spectrum can be used for a local measurement of current density j and effective ionic charge Z.
