Behavior of temperature fronts in media with nonlinear heat conductivity in the presence of absorption
Abstract
A model is developed for one-dimensional heat transfer in the case of stepwise temperature dependence of the coefficients of heat conductivity and absorption. A generalized solution is obtained to the nonlinear equation of heat conduction with absorption. Consideration is given to the case of the 'cooling wave' in the first boundary value problem.
