Signal-system theory
Abstract
A general theory of signal systems is developed on the basis of combinatorial analysis, group theory, number theory, and statistical radio engineering. The properties of arbitrary and binary codes are determined along with relationships between the number of units and the correlation properties of signal systems. A variety of signal system classes is considered including discrete PSK systems, and systems of discrete frequency signals and discrete composite signals. Consideration is given to the use of signal systems in order to increase noise immunity and code separation of synchronous and asynchronous systems of data transmission.
