Determination of characteristics of laser-radiation distribution in the vicinity of focus
Abstract
A theoretical analysis is presented of the influence of certain parameters characterizing laser radiation distribution on focus size and power density; a Gaussian beam is assumed and the analysis is conducted for the basic mode and the higher modes. The effects of diffraction of the beam at the aperture are neglected.
