Design and performances of microwave small transportable earth station for satellite communication
Abstract
This paper describes equipment design and performances for microwave small transportable earth station (STES) for emergency and temporary circuit set up. This STES is transportable and can be set at any desired place. It contains 6 GHz transmitter, 4 GHz receiver, telephone terminal equipments, and power supply loaded into two containers, as well as an assembled Cassegrain antenna. These are all loaded on one vehicle. They can be transported by helicopter, also, if necessary. Thus, 60 telephone channels can be easily set up between fixed earth station via domestic communication satellite.
