Three dimensional fluctuating flow and heat transfer along a plate with suction
Abstract
The flow and heat transfer along a porous plate are investigated when a transverse sinusoidal suction velocity distribution fluctuating with time is applied. Due to this transverse velocity the flow of fluid is three dimensional. For asymptotic flow conditions, wall shear stress and rate of heat transfer are obtained. When frequency parameter approaches zero, it is found that the phase lead of the skin friction in the cross-flow direction is 90 deg.
