Elimination of the influence of the atmosphere in remote measurements of water-surface radiation temperature
Abstract
The potentialities of a multichannel experiment involving remote measurement of water-surface temperatures through an atmospheric layer are studied. A method is proposed for optimal selection of spectral channels for such measurements. Model calculations are used to show that the optimal system of channels provides a substantially higher probing accuracy than high-resolution radiometers.
