Method of analyzing reliability of an object during conceptual design
Abstract
A procedure for establishing the reliability requirements for the component parts of an object during the conceptual design stage is set forth. Three analyses are carried out: (1) the determination of the mean time between failure of each component given the same for the whole object, (2) determination of the admissible failure rate of the elements, and (3) calculation of the average repair time of the object.
