The measurement of lunar palaeotides and their implication to the origin of the earth-moon system
Abstract
A method of measuring paleotides on the moon is presented. The probable cause of the mascons, based on earth-moon distances at the time of mascon formation is described. This is used to determine the early history of the earth-moon system. There are strong implications that the moon could not have been formed in orbit about the earth.
