ForceFree Fields in the Vicinity of a ReissnerNordstrøm Black Hole
Abstract
The behavioyr of a forcefree field has been studied in a ReissnerNordström metric. An expansion in tensor harmonics of evenodd parity reduced the radial equations in a differential equation of the SturmLiouville system which was solved asymptotically in a conveniently defined space coordinate. Further, it has been possible to regularize the singular behaviour of the ReissnerNordström metric at the event horizon and the modified metric to be given explicitly.
