The determination of displacements, deformations and vibrations through holographic interferometry
Abstract
A system for extracting quantitative information from double-exposure holograms has been developed to determine displacements, deformations and vibrations of bodies. The system relies on automatic counting of holographic fringe patterns and a scanning apparatus using an oscillating mirror for position determinations. Detection problems associated with speckle and other image noise sources are mentioned.
