UBV photometry of southern quasars and quasar candidates.
Abstract
UBV photoelectric measurements are presented, up to V= 17.3, for a set of proposed identifications of southern radio sources. 68% of the observed objects show quasar-like colours (i.e. U - B": - 0.4) and have, roughly, a 95% probability of being really quasars. Several objects show variability, with either a long or a short (a few days) time scale. Key words: quasars - UB V - variability - radio sources
