Theoretical prediction of the inclination angle of the separation streamline in separation bubbles
Abstract
The angle of the separation streamline was calculated by a boundary layer integral method of the Pohlhausen type. A simple formula for the dependence on the local Reynolds number and on a pressure parameter in the separation point of a bubble is presented. The theory is confirmed by experiments. Some contradictions in published statements concerning the pressure dependence are cleared up.
