On the motion of solid particles in chemical engineering
Abstract
In connection with problems of chemical engineering, the motion of solid particles suspended in a fluid was studied. The example of hydraulic transport was treated by means of a simple model of particle response to fluid turbulence. The theory of Markov processes was used to describe the motion of dispersed solids in flow systems. As an example, air classifying of solids was discussed.
