Orbit determination when the knowledge of error expectation and covariance matrix is incomplete
Abstract
The problem of choosing the optimal filtering algorithm and optimal set of measurements for orbit determination under incomplete knowledge of the error expectation and covariance matrix is considered. The analysis makes use of guaranteed accuracy estimation procedures. The problem of determining range rate from range measurements is considered as an example.
