Optimization of the energy characteristics of electronic circuits in terms of power and operating speed
Abstract
The paper develops a method of determinate optimization of electronic circuits, based on criteria of operating speed and power consumption. The method, valid for a wide class of digital and linear circuits, was successfully applied to the particular example of a 256-bit-capacity LSI memory. A proof is presented of the existence of the local extremum of the continuous function characterizing the functional elements of the circuit that is optimized.
