Principles of antenna measurements using on-line computer processing with spherical probing
Abstract
Special features of the Marots shaped beam reflector system and its characterization at L, X, and J band dictate the generation of pattern data in digital form and the use of an on-line computer. The near field technique being best suited to a digital data format, with computer processing, the principles of near field spherical probing, the selection of the most suitable analytical approach, and a detailed mathematical formulation using a spherical wave expansion are discussed.
