Calculation of gas temperatures in N2 pressurization experiments
Abstract
Estimates have been made of maximum temperature ratios for a preliminary version of the nitrogen pressurization experiments. These calculations are to determine the feasibility of using temperature as a diagnostic in such experiments. The limits considered are unmixed and fully mixed gases in the experimental chamber. The actual experimental conditions will fall somewhere between these two limits. In both cases, temperature would appear to be a reasonable diagnostic tool.
