Frequency stabilization of HF lasers by means of beat signals and anomalous dispersion
Abstract
A HF chemical laser was frequency-stabilized by a scheme in which beat signals between adjacent longitudinal modes and the anomalous dispersion of the gain medium were used. The basic theory and the feedback loop are described. An absolute frequency stability of 1 MHz and a relative frequency stability of 50 KHz were achieved.
