Conference on Numerical Methods in Fluid Mechanics, 2nd, Cologne, West Germany, October 11-13, 1977, Proceedings
Abstract
Papers are presented on flow between two rotating concentric spheres, time-dependent methods for the fast computation of steady inviscid compressible flows, the application of the discrete ordinate method to the problem of heat and mass transfer in internal rarefied gas flows, and numerical diffusion in first-order finite difference schemes applied to free recirculating flows. Consideration is also given to the numerical and experimental study of three-dimensional supersonic flow around a blunt body, a finite volume method for rotational transonic flow problems, spherically symmetric solutions to the Vlasov equation, the numerical simulation of transition to turbulence, and a variational scheme for hydrodynamic problems.
