Stability of a binary rotating system of solid bodies carrying a mass on an elastic suspension under conditions of resonance
Abstract
An investigation is conducted to examine the stability of equilibrium positions of a system of three solid bodies with binary rotation, which moves along a weakly elliptical trajectory in a central gravity field. The system consists of: three solids of different mass; a solid imponderable mass attached to two of the solids; and elastic dampers which connect the third body to one of the two others. The case of resonant vibration of the system is considered.
