Cluster-size determination in nucleon-nucleon interactions at cosmic-ray energies
Abstract
A model-independent method for determination of cluster size in the pionization region has been presented for nucleon-nucleon interactions at cosmic-ray energies (of the order of 1 trillion eV). The maximum multiplicity of charged particles (pions) constituting a cluster is found to be 4 and 3 at primary energies greater than and less than 1 TeV, respectively.
