On the balance and separation processes in rotating plasmas
Abstract
The particle, momentum, and energy balance has been studied for a rotating plasma under the assumption of classical transport coefficients. A model of a steady plasma centrifuge is discussed and some numerical solutions of the balance and available separation degrees in a hydrogen-deuterium mixture are presented. For multi-component plasmas the separation degree is found to depend mainly on ion-ion collisions, whereas the flux of ions is mainly governed by ion-electron collisions.
