Stabilization of a phase shifting injection locked oscillator module for phased array application
Abstract
In the past, increasing effort has been concentrated on so-called active modules used for feeding the antenna elements of a phased array. An analysis is made for the injection locked oscillator-module concept and several tolerance parameters are considered. A method is introduced to compensate for rising phase drifts without necessitating additional microwave components. Furthermore, this injection locked oscillator module can be used to shift the output phase by a certain amount requiring simpler circuitry of the conveniently used digital phase shifters.
