Radiation-induced signals in cables. II
Abstract
The computer code CHIC, intended for calculations of radiation-induced signals in cables, is applied to some specific problems. The scaling of charge injection signals at high fluence is studied, as are the signals due to charge trapped in the cable dielectric. A conceptual model which relies on simple strip cable geometry is introduced. While this approach permits analytic resolution of the problems, numerical results are provided for realistic cable types.
