The longitudinal component of positional error of a satellite
Abstract
The article discusses the accuracy in determining the radial, lateral, and longitudinal component of positional error of a satellite. An evaluation of the accuracy of predicting satellite motion within the limits of a measured interval is also presented. From an analysis of the errors encountered in satellite position prediction, it is noted that the accuracy required must be coordinated with the duration of the prediction within the measured orbital interval.
